The Oakland Raiders are exploring possible trades with running back Darren McFadden this offseason.
The Raiders have to decide what they are going to do with McFadden and fellow running back Michael Bush for next season and beyond.
Both runners are terrific in their own way, but Bush has managed to stay healthy more than McFadden over the past couple of seasons.
While McFadden is the more explosive runner of the two, it seems that he is always sidelined with some type of leg injury. (Read More…)

The Oakland Raiders used a powerful running game to bowl over top of the New York Jets, 34-24.
Darren McFadden ran for 171 yards and two touchdowns and backup Michael Bush also found the end zone.
The Raiders were able to put up 34 points despite just 158 passing yards from quarterback Jason Campbell.
The defense wasn’t perfect, but they forced Mark Sanchez to put the game on his back and try to win it for the Jets. (Read More…)

Oakland Raiders free agent tackle Robert Gallery said he does not plan to re-sign with the team.
Gallery has been with the Raiders since being drafted by the team as the second overall pick in 2004.
He was intially labeled a big bust by many, but has improved into a solid tackle in recent years.
Gallery said that it is simply time for him to move on, but that he thanks the organization and the fans for their support. (Read More…)

Even though running back Michael Bush is a free agent, the Oakland Raiders plan to bring him back.
The team has running back Darren McFadden under contract for a few more years, but that doesn’t mean Bush is expendable.
New head coach Hue Jackson said he really likes the one-two punch that they have going with the two running backs.
McFadden is a bit more of a speedster who can break the long run while Bush likes to bang between the tackles. (Read More…)

The Oakland Raiders have promoted Hue Jackson from offensive coordinator to head coach, replacing Tom Cable.
Owner Al Davis has long been enthralled with Jackson, who came over from the Baltimore Ravens.
Jackson was the quarterbacks coach with the Ravens, and some believe Joe Flacco misses his presence.
He is a favorite of the players, although the same could be said about Cable, and you know what happened to him. (Read More…)

The Oakland Raiders finished out the season on a high note with a 31-10 pasting of the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Raiders defense surprised everyone by holding the Chiefs to less than 150 yards of total offense.
Running back Michael Bush was unstoppable on the ground, rushing for 137 yards and a score.
The effort allowed Oakland to sweep the season series from the Chiefs and finish with a .500 record. (Read More…)

The host Oakland Raiders used a power running game to to run past the Denver Broncos, 39-23.
Running back Darren McFadden finished with more than 100 yards on the ground and Michael Bush scored twice.
Quarterback Jason Campbell threw for almost 250 yards and a touchdown and also ran for 41 yards.
Wideout Jacoby Ford also had a big game, taking a reverse 70 yards for a touchdown to open up the scoring for Oakland. (Read More…)

The Oakland Raiders coughed up a first half lead and later the game in a 38-31 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Quarterback Jason Campbell threw for 324 yards and two touchdowns in the losing effort. He did not have a turnover.
Running back Darren McFadden was the big star, rushing for 123 yards and two touchdowns.
He was also a big factor in the passing game, catching three passes for 86 yards and a score. (Read More…)

The Oakland Raiders showed they still have a ways to come after a 35-3 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The lowlight of the game came when defensive end Richard Seymour punched quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in the face.
Seymour was flagged for a personal foul and then ejected from the game. He was later handed a $25K fine.
Normally one of the more calm players on the field, Seymour seemed to lose his cool as the Raiders fell further behind. (Read More…)

Oakland Raiders head coach Tom Cable is going to stick with Jason Campbell as his starting quarterback.
Campbell was brought in via trade in the offseason and expected to finally give the Raiders a decent quarterback.
Instead, Campbell looked awful early in the season and suffered a neck injury which forced him to the sidelines.
Bruce Gradkowski took over and played well before he was injured, forcing Campbell back into duty. (Read More…)
